There was a question about making cigarettes illegal? Anyway, I don't think its only about money - I think its more of a laziness issue. Why tinker with it. I mean I'm all for legalizing drugs, I do *believe* it would help take down some of those big crime families but this is the way the world turns. We can't all be smart. A person is smart, but people are just plain stupid. C'mon look who elected president Bush. Just because we're "educated" doesn't make us smarter either - I've had wonderful debates with a certain individual who does not see ANYTHING wrong with the current war on terrorism lead by Bush. I wonder if he realizes the consequences (ie. Israel's present mockery of Bush's war) but the fact is, some people have very different views and I think smoking will never be understood by all.
Its like my circus buddy. At one point, he was number 2 on the uneven bars in Canada, and I think a 4th overall. And now he works a very physically demanding job yet he smokes, and so do most of the other circus folks. Look at the army, jock, buff men... they all smoke! it don't make sense!
working hard and retiring early doesn't happen. Winning the lottery, selling your company will make you rich and retire. But I think our human need, our greed will always make us want more - no matter how "succesfull" we are in our youth. There's always an upper level that we want to reach. I know I lead a pretty extravagant lifestyle, but now I can't imagine being any lower :) Look at Turner, frig, he's got billions to give away YET he still makes money... or remember the conductor Karajan? He used to make 1 million dollars a DAY from royalties. He owned a MOUNTAIN, and drove his Porsche 959 (yup, the one and only very limited super supercar) as fast as he wanted on it - not to mention the many other million dollar cars he owned. anyway I can keep dreaming...
so what is going on with this July vacation? I want a vacation now. Actually I just want kick some ass.
